Most Liked

The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes The Bell Inn a cozy spot for meals with friends or family.

The beer and wine selection excels, catering to various palates and ensuring patrons find the perfect drink to accompany their meal.

The menu features a mix of traditional pub favorites and contemporary dishes, appealing to a wide audience. Many guests rave about the cod and chips, highlighting its freshness and taste.

Generous portion sizes and homemade desserts win hearts, ensuring that meals feel hearty and satisfying. The children's meals are particularly well-received, offering ample food for the young diners.

Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy their meals in a lovely garden environment, ideal for warm sunny days.

Most Disliked

On busy weekends, the atmosphere can become quite loud, particularly when large parties dine at the same time, potentially impacting the dining experience.

Reservations are often necessary, especially during peak times, which can be frustrating for those hoping for an impromptu visit.

Some patrons note occasional delays during service when the pub is at full capacity, particularly during busy lunch and dinner hours. It's wise to account for this if time is of the essence.

While the pub is pet-friendly, some guests feel that this could make indoor seating a bit less comfortable due to barking or distractions from pets.

A few diners have expressed a desire for more vegetarian and vegan options beyond the current offerings, wishing for further variety.

We were recommended The Bell Inn by the owners of The Moors Campsite where we were staying. We were running late for our reservation after an event at Castle Combe Circuit and the staff were very accommodating making sure we had a table. The food was excellent and on our table quickly. A friendly and very tasty place to eat. Thank You. 👌

Very popular as the nearly all tables were reserved. We were a table of 13 and the staff worked extremely hard to keep up with all the guests. The food was excellent and the cod and chips were 10/10 according to 5 of our family who had it. Would definitely recommend but booking looks essential. Will definitely return.

Came across this place by chance on our way back from wales to Norfolk, a friendly staff member took our order and even got us some water for our dog, the food was very good, hot and tasty, we'll be stopping there again.

Top pub grub, steak and kidney pie recommended and the children's portions are very generous. Slightly on the loud side as there was a large party in at the same time but all added to the embiance

We ate here whilst staying nearby at Stanton Manor Hotel for our son's wedding. The food was lovely, good sized portions and all seemed freshly made. I have to give a special mention to the deserts. They were absolutely delicious and trust me, as a family we are experts in puddings! Most of them seemed homemade and the portions were the sort of size you'd dish up at home rather than the size you normally get in a pub. 😋

Food is fantastic. Service always friendly and helpful, just a great place to eat. Nice garden to sit in when the weather is good. Plenty parking. Then walk off lunch at Castle Combe. What a time to be alive!

Must visit place if you come nearby. All member of staffs are friendly. Foods was amazing. 🥳 Do not go Castle Combe village pubs. The bell Inn is just drive 5min away. Worth to spend this 5mins. Trust me. Actually we tried to find the seat from two pubs in the village. Sadly, one of the place in the village didn't have a seat. Didn’t welcoming us(9of us including 5kids😅 I understand that the restaurant does not welcome families with young children.) and the other place came out because it was too unfriendly. Thank you god! therefore I accidentally found The Bell Inn. When I found seat in the bell inn then I checked that first two pubs reviews. Then I realised that was lucky for me to left😂 For your information, No mibile phone signal reception in the Castle Comb Village. So hard to get nearby restaurants information. Wow wow wow!! The Bell Inn ! Thank you!! 👏👏👏 Good foods, good service and finally Reasonable price bill came out at the end! I thought tips was included. But it wasn’t. I noticed it after leaving the place. Suddenly I felt I paid less than I supposed to. Now I leave a review to help your business growing🥰 Everyone, please come here. No regrets. My experience guarantees it. 👌 And this review will motivate them to keep working so well. 😉🙏👏
